2008 Film Contest Grand Prize Finalist: America: Lost in Translation
Akram and Arwa Alsamarae are two creative chaps with big ideas. "America: Lost in Translation" was a finalist for the American Muslim Life category.
After moving from sunny California to Michigan, these siblings decided to endure Michigan's long winters by making short films. Akram works endlessly and diligently with the computer, editing until his glasses fall off and Arwa enjoys writing the screenplays until carpal tunnel syndrome kicks in.
"America: Lost in Translation" is a spoken word rendition of the American Muslim Life portrayed by five American Muslims who experience it on daily basis.
