2008 Film Contest Grand Prize Finalist: America: A New Home
Ahmed Ghani is a twenty year-old filmmaker/actor from Michigan. "America: A New Home " was a finalist for the American Muslim Life category.
As a teenager in High school, Ahmed's interest in acting lead him to film where he started the schools first film club. Since then he has written and directed over 10 short films all done without the aid of professional equipment. "To be able to make a movie, and watch it affect someone is the best feeling in the world" he says, film is truly his passion and having "One Nation: Many Voices" is a great platform to pay tribute to his Arabian background.
"America: A New Home" describes the Chahine Family, who moved to America to escape war in 1981. Now 27 years later their family has grown into many cultures, they are the perfect example of The America Muslim Life.
