Dr. Qazi is the newly elected President of Association of Muslim Health Professionals, a national Public Health organization.  He coordinated a recent landmark research cosponsored by AHMP-ISPU and conducted by Dr. Lance Laird that for the first time studied the rising phenomenon of Muslim charitable health organizations. He has now proposed the launch of a national Health Affordability initiative designed to underscore the issues surrounding health reform.

Dr. Qazi is engaged in a number of other non-profit initiatives in the community.  He served on the board of Open Doors Now, an autism education and advocacy organization based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.  He also serves as an advisor to the Epilepsy Center another not for profit organization serving the needs of patient and their families that is based in Riverside, CA.

Dr. Qazi has been concerned about the current crisis in the health arena. During his medical training, he founded and became the first CEO of HUDA (Health Unit on Davison Avenue) Free Clinic in inner city Detroit to serve the impoverished neighborhood.

Dr. Qazi has research interests in the area of Neuroethics.  He has given a number of presentations on Disorders of Consciousness discussing ethical and legal aspects of brain death, Coma and Persistent Vegetative State.

Dr. Qazi is in private practice as a Neurologist in southern CA.  He has been instrumental in developing a comprehensive Epilepsy program in the Inland Empire area.  He also serves as Medical Director of the Comprehensive Headache Program at Casa Colina Hospital.  He is the Assistant Professor of Neurology and lecturer at Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pomona, California.

Dr. Qazi's experience as an activist both in the social and professional arena coupled with an administrative and business experience has allowed him to address issues of social and health reform.

Dr. Qazi and his work have been featured in interviews with NPR, Voice of America, CNN and PBS.  He's a columnist in Health section of San Bernardino Sun.  He has received the honor of being listed amongst the Best Doctors of Inland Empire.
