Interfaith Group Launches Ramadan Web Site

Two veteran journalists have collaborated to launch a new Web site that shares American Muslims' reflections on the holy month of Ramadan. The Web site, entitled "Sharing Ramadan," features a new story about a member of the American Muslim community daily, along with a photographic portrait. Visitors to the site can also share their own stories about Ramadan on the homepage.

The site’s co-founders, Raad Alawan, a TV news reporter, and David Crumm, a daily newspaper reporter, have been involved in interfaith dialogue in the Michigan region for decades. Many of the stories featured on the Web site were also compiled in "Your Community," a newspaper distributed throughout the southeast Michigan area.

Sharing Ramadan was created, says co-founder David Crumm, "to provide American Muslims a chance to just share their daily lives." The Web site honors and celebrates the lives of Muslims by reflecting on the meaning of the Ramadan celebration. For more information visit www.sharingramadan.info.
