Islamica Magazine Awarded for Excellence

Islamica Magazine has been recognized with six awards from the Religion Communicators Council for its excellence as a communicator of religious issues. The magazine was awarded three DeRose-Hinkhouse Memorial Awards of Excellence for overall periodical, a single issue of a periodical and design. It was also honored with Best of Class Awards in three communications categories for being the outstanding communicator overall. Islamica won the most Best of Class Awards in the Religion Communicators Council’s history of offering the recognition.

The awards were presented at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., on April 3.

The DeRose Hinkhouse Memorial Awards are presented annually to members of the Religion Communicators Council in honor of Victor DeRose and Paul M. Hinkhouse, leading lithographers in New York City. The Religion Communicators Council is an interfaith association of religion communicators in print and electronic communication, marketing and public relations.
