Najah Bazzy, RN, is a Transcultural Nurse Clinical Specialist and a Diversity Specialist with 25 years specializing in the area of transcultural health care.  She has an extensive background in critical care nursing with special expertise in Arab and Muslim health care, beliefs, and practices.  She is CEO of Diversity Specialists and Transcultural Health Care Solutions.  She is also the Executive Director and Founder of Zaman International, a non-profit humanitarian organization which provides "hope for humanity".  


Najah Bazzy is well known locally and internationally for her lectures on many topics related to Islam, including interfaith dialogue, gender equity and equality, human rights, and medical ethics.  Since 9/11, she has spoken to thousands of non-Muslims and has engaged extensively in interfaith outreach that includes the United States Army, United States Department of Justice, New Detroit, and the Susan B. Komen Foundation.  She is noted for her "ambassador" style of diplomatic dialogue.


Najah Bazzy is founder of Bayt Al Zahra International, an organization to aid in refugee resettlement that provides food, clothes, shelter, medicine and everyday necessities to hundreds of indigent families in the local Detroit metro area.   In 2001, she advocated for the proper burial of over 220 aborted fetuses that were left unclaimed and then founded Plots for Tots; a fund for the proper burial of fetuses, infants and children. She is also one of the co - founders and senior advisor for the Young Muslim Association of the Islamic Center of America, focusing on the development of youth leaders and mentors.  Most recently, she has pursued efforts to link to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent in order to serve the homeless and helpless people of Iraq by providing translation services and humanitarian relief.


Najah Bazzy recently completed eight documentaries that highlight her life mission and vision for the human family.   She and her family were featured in the PBS documentary "Muhammed: Legacy of a Prophet."  She has also been featured in newspapers, nursing journals, television, and radio - both national and international. The International Channels Network recognized her work with a "We The People" award for being a 'Passionate Promoter of Leadership'.  Her international travels have taken her to Lebanon, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Bahrain and Syria.  She continues to work to bridge the gap between East and West.


Najah and Allie Bazzy have been married for 25 years and have four children. They reside in Canton, Michigan.
